    Hi there!
    Friends only....

Hey there! I'm short, blond and insanely geeky. I'm very nice, honest. And if you're here, we've probably met somewhere along the line. Comment on me and I'll add you. Cartoons, movies, television and silly games a conversation speciality! :D

    Pancakes!
    Ingredients
    250g/9oz plain flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp sea salt
    3 tbsp sugar
    250ml/9fl oz milk
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
50g/2oz unsalted butter, melted, plus extra for cooking
    For the maple butter syrup
    80ml/3fl oz maple syrup
    25g/1oz unsalted butter

    Method
    1. Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into a bowl.
    2. Mix the milk, eggs and the melted butter in a large jug, then add the flour mixture and mix quickly to make a batter - don't worry about any lumps.
    3. Heat a cast iron frying pan or flat-surfaced griddle until medium-hot, grease lightly with the extra butter and pour in the batter in batches to make rounds 8-10cm/3-4in in diameter.
    4. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until bubbles form on top of the pancakes and the underside is golden, then flip each one over and cook for one minute.
    5. Keep the pancakes warm in the oven while you cook the remaining batches.
    6. Heat the maple syrup and butter together in a small pan or in the microwave.
    7. Stack the pancakes on warmed plates and pour over the buttery syrup.

Also works great with chocolate sauce.

To make cottage cheese pancakes, make the batter as above then stir in eight tablespoons of cottage cheese and cook as above. Serve with fresh berries, cherry or blackcurrant jam and crème fraîche, sour cream or thick yoghurt.

Alternativly, head on down to the shop and buy some instant batter mix! :)

Have a happy Shrove Tuesday! :D

    Goddammit!
I just sat an exam to work as an admin in the civil service (easiest job in the world - a monkey could do it. Literally.) I failed. I finished the numerical competancy section, but i had answer boxes to spare = i marked the wrong box and accidentally skipped a question somewhere. To make matters worse, my vision is blurry and I can't afford glasses until I get a steady job, and so I'm pretty sure that the accuracy part of the test, I didn't do super hot in. I had to cover one eye to read the writing. I'm never going to get a steady job!!!

But that's not what annoys me most. What annoys me is that 1, I work in admin, I've been working in admin, and having to do stupid speed maths tests in exam pressure circumstances has very little to do with anything. And 2, because they hire you based SOLEY ON HOW YOU DO IN THE TEST AND NOT ON ACTUAL SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE, some stuck up little civil service twat is going to come to my paper, see where I've rubbed out about 12 answers in a bid to try and correct them before the time ran out, only to have some bitch tell me off in front of the whole exam room, and assume I'm thick!

    Fuck!

    I hate the world.

See, I'll bet you were expecting me to go all 'Grow three inches, lose 40 pounds, get boob, nose and chin jobs, a chemical peel, whiten my teeth and cut my hair short'. Well, I'm not (though god knows I'd like to).

No, instead I'm gonna tell you 'bout this one time, in Australia, whne I found an awesome cool spider sitting on a rock, and I called my dad to look at it, and he came over and accidentally stood on it and squished it dead. Then it turned out it was super deadly deadly spider and could have killed us all in one fell swoop. True story. XD

What personality trait has gotten you in the most trouble?

Agh! Overthink much? I do. I take small problems and turn them over and over in my head until they become huge. Then I freak out, then I realise what I did and freak out about said freaking out. I usually get a moment of clarity some weeks later, but by then the damage is done and my crazy has triumphed. lol

Also, I'm not so good at carpe diem. Heh heh.

    Worst. Movie. Ever.
Many films over the years have been given this rather lamentable title, but yesterday/this morning (couldn't get through it in one sitting - even with Pokemon to distract me during the worst bits) I think I actually did watch the worst film ever made in Hollywood (independant and student films need a category of their own due to the uncensored/low budget crap they can produce.)

I Know Who Killed Me is a disaster all the way through. Boring, long-winded, stoopid (confused with being clever), that then slips from being a straight forward thiller into a messy, elaborate fantasy thriller. The plot is ludicrous (again - thinks it's being clever), and neither the writer/director/ actors seem to know what the 'truth' is t any given point. The acting is for the most part mediocre, except where Lindsay Lohan is on screen where it slips down into diabolical. I know the poor girl gets a lot of flack just for being who she is, but seriously, there is no excuse. Everyone keeps going 'she proved she could act in mean girls' but watching this I came to realise, she was phoning in an exact copy of her Mean Girls persona. Doesn't quite fly when you are trying to be pained and edgy.

OK....since I haven't actually finished the film yet, I'm maybe being premature. But this is the third time I've sat down to try watch this, and even as we approach the climax, I'm so bored, I'm typing a review of how bad it is. With 15 minutes to go, I have no idea what sort of pay off to expect. At least this film isn't predicable (in a Saw 4 'doesn't make sense' kind of way). Please bare in mind that I'm the girl who got through Maniac Cop 2 in one viewing. And that film sucks.

Agh.....film rant over. :) Just putting the word out there. I know the critics have been the same, and it's got lots of Razzie nominations, but sometimes those things are unfair. Not in this case. Not even worth a watch to see if it's as bad as they say. Just avoid this at all costs.

Also, I think my prediction for the killer is about to come true......

    Oh dear god...it's still going......

Hmmm, I was wrong. I don't think I've even seen him before. :-S
Also, nicked their set from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

    It's still going...... why?

    Pancakes and Ashes...
Did everyone have a good Shrove Tuesday? I binged like nothing else in order to rid my bedroom of any chocolate temptation. XD

I went to Pete's and we got through two batches of pancake mix between us! With nutella and sugar and lemon juice!!! Good times. :) Except about half an hour afterwards when I felt all sick. It was worth it though! :D

I'm at work, counting down the time until lunch. Sooooo hungry. lol. But it's Ash Wednesday, so no meat, and only 1 meal. :( Then I need to go get my ashes. I like Ash Wednesday. Most folks who know me don't get why. Can't be bothered to attempt to explaine though. So tough. :P

I just got handed my end of probation review by my manager. I hope to god I do OK. Have to answer all sorts of questions as to what I think of working here! :-/ I trust it will all work out.

My Supernatural Boxset has shipped!! XD It's here on Saterday! Have I mentioned how much I love that show? lol. Linda Blair was in an episode: "I suddenly have a craving for pea soup." tee hee. Also, google H.H.Holmes. Scary dude. Had heard about him, didn't realise he was real! :-/ Seriously weird guy. Check him out.

    Weeee - lunch time!!! XD

I'll doubtless be on again before shift end.
